Children’s Discovery Area

Teach Your Children Well
The idea for a Children’s Discovery Area arose from the need to address what kids would do at the Inn on bad weather days.  Soon, we had drawing tables, art supplies, story books, coloring books, puzzles and scavenger hunt type activities all relating to the Inn’s birding theme and its numerous green features.

 To encourage guests to explore the park during their stay, children and adults are invited to borrow a “birding back pack” from the Innkeeper. Each pack contains binoculars, field guides and birding activities (like bird bingo) to take out on the trails.
