breakfast at the inn

Overnight stays include an exceptional country-style breakfast buffet featuring an assortment of hot entrees, breads, pastries and muffins, seasonal fruit, hot and cold cereals, yogurt parfaits, fruit juices, and hot beverages. Breakfast is served daily, from 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., and until 10:30 A.M. on weekends. On days when we have only a handful of guests, we’re more than likely to offer your preferred breakfast cooked to order.

WiFi internet access is available in every room and throughout the entire inn.
Network information and the required password are provided at registration, which allows you to log onto the internet through our secure network. For those that prefer a hardwire connection, each room is equipped with active data ports and we have loaner CAT-5 cables available at the front desk.

outdoor patio & grills

Nature Inn guests enjoy exclusive use of our outdoor patio and the two built-in, professional-grade gas grills. With views overlooking the lake, the patio draws guests looking to unwind after an adventure filled day. Ample seating, with tables and umbrellas, is perfect for sharing a late afternoon glass of wine or an evening meal with family and friends. There also are several adjacent, covered porches available for use on rainy days.

Communal Fire Pit & fireplace

Our communal fire pit is an evening focal point throughout much of the year. We provide seasoned wood, starter materials, and marshmallow sticks. We're even available to lend a helping hand to get fires started. Gatherings often include lively conversation between inn guests over shared s'mores and mountain pies. During colder months, gatherings move indoors around the large stone fireplace in our great room.

library

The second-floor library offers a collection of field guides, natural history books, games, and DVDs for guests to enjoy in the library or in the comfort of their rooms. It’s also a great space for casual gatherings and to play cards or board games.

in-room binoculars

Bald Eagle State Park offers exceptional birding opportunities. Each room is outfitted with binoculars and a Peterson’s Field Guide for use during your stay. Whether you’re an experienced birder or an interested novice, we hope birding will be a part of your stay at the Nature Inn. The park’s interpretive staff offers regular birding walks and presentations.

bald eagle state park

Bald Eagle State Park offers a wide variety of outdoor activities to fill any stay! Get out and hike the Skyline Trail and Butterfly Trail, both of which connect directly to the inn. Bike the park roads and trails or launch your boat from one of the many public boat ramps. Kayak Bald Eagle Creek or the wildlife-filled coves and marshes. Fish directly from the lake shore or from a rental boat from the marina. Use your guestroom binoculars to get a closer look at the wide variety of birds that visit our park throughout the year.
